The Yale Book Award is a way for local Yale clubs to recognize high school students at the end of their junior year who have “outstanding personal character and intellectual promise.” Club members are asked to adopt a school and work with the guidance department there to select a student. The selection criteria should start with the Yale guideline mentioned above and can include additional qualifications that the member will establish. The Yale Club of New Hampshire has given an increased number of awards in recent years and would like to continue to extend the program to as many schools as possible.
